RIDC + Run Richmond 16.19
Moving Forward Together
The Djimon Hounsou Foundation welcomes the Running Industry Diversity Coalition (RIDC) to Richmond as we celebrate five years of Run Richmond 16.19. Join us September 11–13, 2026, for three days of Black history, culture, movement, and community.
As America marks its 250th anniversary, we invite RIDC members and supporters to experience a weekend that honors the people and stories that shaped this country while looking toward what comes next. Across the weekend, we’ll run through more than 400 years of Black history alongside 40+ community partners and thousands of participants.
We see a natural connection between the work of RIDC and the spirit of Run Richmond 16.19. Both are rooted in the belief that running can create belonging, access, connection, and opportunity.
We’re also honored to welcome Alison Mariella Désir, co-founder and former chair of RIDC, who will take part in this year’s celebration.
